Abstract
Describes response of electrical transmission conductor that is measured in the field under high wind conditions. The field measurements included simultaneous signals from load cells, swing angles, anemometers and wind vanes. These signals provided records of wind speed, wind direction and transverse response of conductors. A total of twenty-three records, each of 12-minute duration, were obtained. The analysis of field data provides resonant response and background response of the conductors. These responses are compared with the responses obtained through an analytical model. (A)
