Abstract

The intimate surroundings of the 17th century St. Peter’s Church – Their Majesties Chappell, in St. Georges, provided an authentic setting for this programme of music for string quartet. In an atmosphere heightened by the romantic glow of candlelight, the Williamsburg String Quartet delighted the audience with their interpretation of the works of Joseph Haydn, Frank Bridge, Felix Mendelssohn and Astor Piazzólla.
