Abstract

Despite economic recession in the US, India is rising and moving ahead. For instance, the country's GDP has grown by over 8%. Last year, the growth was 9.4%. This year it is projected at 8.9%. Current projections show that India's growth in the technical textile industry in the next two decades will be faster than the one witnessed by the West in the past three decades. In addition, support schemes are under way, headed by no less than the government. The textile industry has now initiated some developments to boost the industry's capabilities.
