Abstract

This poster presentation addresses an important question to communication design scholars across a variety of fields: What decisions do webtext authors make when composing? How do they decide how to balance writing with meta-discourse, linearity with flexibility? Using an annotated portfolio method, the authors studied how webtext designers approached conventions and innovative practices in webtext composition.
