Abstract

The use of thyristors for narrow high power repetitive pulses are discussed. The high peak currents and fast risetimes for short pulses in discrete semiconductor thyristors were obtained. The results showed the behavior of thyristors as closing switches under repetitive high current, short pulse operation.
