Abstract
In the conclusion, the editors discuss the trendlines reflected across the chapters and what this trajectory suggests about the future of the state and the broader process of privatization, militarization and securitization. Linking the findings of the chapters to the large literature on “new war”, the editors articulate how the sociological imagination can play a pivotal role in illuminating the future of war and security.
