Abstract
Wa Na Wari is a center for Black art and culture in Seattle's historically redlined Central District Neighborhood.

Wa Na Wari invited Weird Allan Kaprow, a post-colonial conceptual karaoke project that I co-founded, to develop a virtual performance in honor of Juneteenth. WAK rewrites pop songs to reflect postcolonial narratives that critique intergenerational wealth and museums, elections, gentrification, and manifest destiny. "This is WAK" premiered a new WAK single and a limited edition riso-printed songbook for all in attendance.
