Abstract

Transactional Six Sigma (SS) Projects are oriented to service industry, support areas and administrative processes. The traditional R-DMAIC-R is changed by R-DMAIE-R (stands for Recognize-Define-Measure-Analyze-Innovate-Embed- Review/Replicate) in which Analyze and Innovate phases are devoid of tools that can be applied to processes. The systems approach can help in the application of tools oriented to perform a diagnosis and provide understanding of what is happening. If the right understanding of the process is reached, then the innovation is possible. The main objective for this paper is to present a set of tools that can be used to improve processes using systems approach tools such as Rich Picture, Maltese-Cross and Soft Systems Methodology, among others.
