Abstract

In this virtual issue of the Journal of Marital and Family Therapy, guest editors, Dr. Stephen Fife and Derek Holyoak, M.A. present a thoughtful overview of the scholarly literature on the influential role of the therapist that can be found in JMFT. This collection of articles is divided into the role of the therapist in therapy practice, training and supervision, which is particularly helpful for examining how therapists serve as agents of change in each context.
We hope this virtual issue will inspire therapists, supervisors, clinicians and researchers to attune to the role of the therapist.
