Abstract
The GSBI is a four factor, 70-item scale developed to assess the cognitive, affective, and behavioral dimensions of excessive and uncontrolled sexual behavior using the following four subscales: 1) Discordance, which measures intrapsychic conflict and shame about one's sexual behavior and and sexuality; 2) Permissiveness, which measures whether one's sexual values are more traditional, or unconventional; 3) Sexual Obsesson, which measures preoccupation with sex, and 4) Sexual Stimulation, which measures comfort with sexual arousal.
