Abstract

Determining the defect critical threshold and establishing the judgment model of remanufacturability based on defect for FV520B-I are the key works in re-manufacturing engineering of FV520B-I. Neither the related research has not been carried out widely, nor have the concepts of critical defect threshold and judgment model been proposed. According to the classic remanufacturing theory, the definition of the fatigue critical defect threshold is proposed and the fatigue defect critical threshold model is established. The fatigue life prediction models with the consideration of surface defect and internal defect are determined with the comprehensive application of experimental data, classic fatigue theories and fatigue competition analysis. The re-manufacturability judgment model is established with combination of the fatigue defect critical threshold model and the fatigue life models. The applicability of the judgment model is tested by the experiments. The study of the re-manufacturability based on the defect is difficult in theory but valuable in actual engineering. It is important to improve the efficiency of re-manufacturing engineering and it is helpful to avoid the unnecessary remanufacturing.
