Abstract

"Spirit Dance" was inspired by Norman Bert and based on his collection of performance pieces for churches, "A New Corpus Christi." Original music for the dance was composed by School of Music graduate student Elyse Kahler and choreography was by Theatre & Dance adjunct Sarah Sabin. Bert read the text that accompanied the performance. Dancers included SoTD student Allison Pelham and adjunct Kris Olson. The performance was part of St. John's observance of Pentecost.
