Abstract

The single-particle energy states of neutrons calculated for several finite nuclei are found in good agreement with the experimental data. An effective velocity-dependent nucleon-nuclear potential based upon the N-N interaction has been employed in the independent-particle model, and the spin-orbit effect has been studied.
