Source calibration of CMS quartz fiber forward calorimeter

Abstract

We show three different methods for the calibration of the CMS forward calorimeter (HF) using a radioactive source (Co60) and compare them against the calibration obtained with high-energy electrons in the test beam. About 5% calibration precision (rms) was obtained for the five HF wedges tested.
