Abstract
There are seemingly numerous options for remediating contaminated bed sediment. Harbor managers, state and federal authorities, mayors, industrial plant managers and others are searching for remediation processes and facing complex issues of cost, benefit and degree of hazard reduction to humans and the ecology among other constraints. This paper will focus on the remediation choices available and how they can be incorporated in logic-flow decision tree for arriving at a management strategy thereby addressing several of the above facets of the problem.
