Abstract
The authors describe the notion of a generalized stability region, which turns out to be of great importance in checking the stability of a time-varying system. A scheme to stabilize families of linear time-varying systems simultaneously and robustly by a linear time-varying dynamic compensator which generalizes results in time-invariant system theory is also derived.
