Abstract
“Retraced" is a collaboration between choreographer Kyla Olson, the performers, cognitive psychologist Dr. Michael Serra, and sound designer Jacob Henry. Our experience of autobiographical episodic memories involves reconstructive and reiterative processes. This choreographic work is an exploration of a specific episodic memory from each performer, performed repeatedly to exemplify how memories distort, deteriorate, and fade over time.
