Abstract

It is assumed that the basic idea of shell model where the two-body, nucleon-nucleon forces, completely represented by an averaged central potential, is, in particular, unlikely to be valid for 6Li. Instead a substantial residual two-body interaction is expected which leads to admixture of configurations above (1s)4(1p)2 state in the harmonic oscillator well in order to give a correct wave function of 6Li. This wave function is capable to predict the type of residual interaction yielding the potential depth and range with the oscillator parameter.
