Abstract
Elements of SMP were introduced, and design methods and application rules of active disassembly devices based on SMP were put forward. Based on these design methods and application rules, some remote controls were redesigned. The active disassembly experiments of redesigned remotes show that the disassembly efficiency is obviously enhanced, and the cost is much lower than that using shape memory alloy devices.
