Abstract

Solid-liquid equilibrium of aqueous electrolyte systems is characterized with wide electrolyte concentration and temperature ranges, common ion effects, ionic equilibrium reactions, multiple hydrate formation, double salt precipitation, etc. This paper discusses the application of the electrolyte NRTL model for solid-liquid equilibrium of aqueous electrolyte systems. Successful results demonstrate the usefulness of the model for representing solid-liquid equilibrium of aqueous electrolyte systems.
