Abstract

The main reaction for carbon deposition at 900 K and 1 atm over Fe and Co foils is RXN A. It should also be considered that the relative rates of RXN's A and B are probably dependent on both temperature and the catalyst used. Therefore, extrapolation of these data to other systems and temperatures should not be undertaken without experimental verification.
