Abstract

Raman chemical imaging offers selectivity, contrast, and information content that is unparalleled in conventional optical imaging. Advances in dispersive optical elements have allowed Raman imaging to become a stand-alone instruments capable of acquiring images with high spatial and spectral resolution. This paper reviews recent advances in instrumentation and briefly discusses general applications of Raman imaging.
