Abstract

Kris Olson and I were invited to collaborate on an evening-length concert of original dance works that explore intersections of music and bodily instrumentation as the featured keynote performance at the national AOSA conference for music educators in Ft. Worth. We collaborated with two faculty in the School of Music and five musicians from around the country to create the work. We performed to a sold-out crowd of over 1,000 people (a national audience) and received a standing ovation and an open-ended invitation from conference organizers to create works for this event in the future.
