Abstract
The multi-functional nonwoven composites and nonwovens with functionalized finishes find vast applications in high technology fields such as medical, military and filtration. In medical applications, nonwovens are applied in medical sector that includes surgical gowns, facemasks, surgical and medical accessories and medical furnishings. Meanwhile, in military applications, nonwoven fabrics will be used as a combat utility uniforms by the United States Marine Corps. Furthermore, the use of nonwovens in filtration is well-known. All nonwovens' can be designed to have high-tech applications and can penetrate into value-added markets.
