New insights into the fragility dilemma in liquids

Abstract

Dynamic and thermodynamic fragility data from the literature were collected for 69 glass-forming liquids including polymers, small molecule organic molecules, hydrogen bonding small molecules, and small molecule inorganic molecules. Results suggest that the generality of the energy landscape paradigm of the fragility of glass-forming liquids needs reconsideration.
