Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

A two-dimensional nonhydrostatic mesoscale model was used to compare calculated characteristics of breeze circulation with the results of field measurements in the Santa Barbara Channel in the southern California, USA. Incorporating the principal physical characteristics of breeze circulation into the model enabled us to obtain results which looked realistic against the background of observation data. Some modifications increasing the quality of experimental data reproduction are given in the paper. It is shown that the model can serve to reconstruct profiles of meterological factors in calculations of pollutant dispersion by the breeze. -English summary
