Abstract

After applying the conceptoftrustnetworks to differenttypes ofnetworks in Trustand Rule (Tilly 2005), Charles Tilly applied the conceptoftrustnetworks to the fi eld ofinternational migration in his article “TrustNetworks in Transnational Migration,” where he states, “TrustNetworks, then, consistoframifi ed interpersonal connections, consisting mainly ofstrong ties, within which people setvalued, consequential, long-term resources and enterprises atrisk to the malfeasance, mistakes, or failures ofothers” (Tilly 2007:7).
