Abstract

A model aimed at evaluating the multivariant martensitic microstructure (MM) in single crystals and polycrystals was discussed. It was observed that the new scale-free model was used for length scales greater than 100 nm and without an upper bound. Investigations show the use of phase field approach for the evolution of MM. The results show that the model was based on the thermodynamic potential in the volume fractions of the martensitic variants that lead to microstructure formation.
