Abstract
Linguistics for Everyone is a comprehensive introduction to linguistics which provides a detailed yet simple knowledge base for understanding linguistic concepts and processes. Although it is an introductory textbook, it provides a thorough examination of the different branches of linguistic inquiry. Its contents are interesting and well formulated, and due to its clarity, effective layout, and plethora of examples, exercises and activities, it is more appropriate for beginners than comparable textbooks such as Fromkin et al. (2007) and O‟Grady et al. (2005).
