Abstract

A highly efficient and facile aminohalogenation of β-nitrostyrenes with t-butyl N,N-dichlorocarbamate (BocNCl₂) as nitrogen/halogen source is reported, which tolerated a wide scope of substrates and could be completed within 20 min at room temperature with excellent chemical yields.
