IHLR 23.2, The Power Issue

In the fall 2020 semester, under Katie's direction, the IHLR staff began reading through the slush pile. <br><br>At the start of the 2021 semester, Jill read the Power semifinalists and selected the poems to send to the IHLR Poetry Editor, Geffrey Davis, and the essays to send to the IHLR Nonfiction Editor, Elena Passarello, and the stories to send to the IHLR Fiction Editor, Katie Cortese. The genre editors selected the final manuscripts for publication in January 2021/February 2021. Then in 2021, Jill typeset the proofreading file and proofread the entire issue, oversaw the development of back matter columns, ordered the issue, keyed in changes during proofreading rounds, and wrote the Foreword. In the summer 2021 semester, Jill selected the cover and interior art, designed and typeset the final layout, handled production with the printer, and released the issue in Fall 2021. Then she conducted the release/PR rollout.<br><br>
