Abstract

The research objective was to support B&W Pantex by increasing the reliability of High Explosives (HE) operations through the prevention of pinnacle events in the most cost effective manner. The objecive was achieved by the creation of a System Dynamics Model and an Economic Model that capture high risk, high consequence operation/processes allowing decision makers to change input variables and examine the outcome.
