The paper reports on a study to run a pilot scale test to determine if the fermentation process would perform equal to that in the laboratory studies; to produce enough feed for actual feeding trials to finishing cattle; to determine if the fermented product would be accepted by cattle; and to examine the performance of the cattle fed the fermented product as compared to cattle fed a control diet. Study materials, methods and results are discussed.
