Abstract
Served as a clinician at the 2018 Hanks Jazz Festival in El Paso Texas. This festival is one of the largest in the state, with 50 ensembles participating from Texas and New Mexico. My specific role was to give 30 minute clinics/workshops to 16 of those bands after hearing their performance. This put me in direct contact with at least 16 regional jazz band directors and approximately 240-250 of their students.
