Abstract

The stratigraphy and paleontology of the following sequence of Gondwana rocks in the Victoria Group exposed at Allan Hills are described: 1) Feistmantel Formation (Permian); 2) Weller Formation (Permian), 3) Feather Formation (Triassic), 4) Lashly Formation (Triassic), 5) Mawson Formation (Lower Jurassic), and 6) Ferrar Formation. While no vertebrate fossils were found, a comprehensive suite of plant fossils of very high quality was collected, including Glossopteris, Gangamopteris, ginkgoales, equistaleans, Dicroidium, and pteriodosperms. -from Current Antarctic Literature
