This article reviews multiple perspectives on women's involvement in US agricultural production, including economics, rural sociology, geography, gender ethnography and similarly related fields. We focus on studies surrounding women's roles in US agriculture over time, recent trends of US female farm operators and farm sector gender influences of women.
