Abstract

Friction plays an important role in determining the overall quality of fabrics. Research on the frictional characterization of polymeric textiles is reviewed in this paper, along with a historical account of textile friction research. Current studies and a few new developments in woven and nonwoven fabric frictional properties are also provided.
