Abstract

ADSM is based on active disassembly devices which are made of smart materials such as shape memory materials. When the active disassembly devices are triggered and invalidated, the parts connected by them will be detached. The most widely used active disassembly devices are made of SMP. The detachment effects of SMP active disassembly devices include the time of shape restoring and the active disassembly rate. They are influenced by factors like the material variety and the maximum shape restoring of active disassembly devices, the temperature and means of heating in active disassembly process, etc. The influences of these factors were researched by experiments, and the methods to enhance detachment effects of SMP active disassembly devices were put forward.
