Existence A Wistful State of Mind: Danca Nova Dance Company Presents New Dances in Colorado Danca Nova's annual fall concert, presented at Broomfield Auditorium in Broomfield, CO October 22-24, evolved into an evening of pensive thoughtfulness as six world premiere works were unveiled. Entitled "Existence: A State of Mind," the work primarily dealt with various layers of expression that revolve around the continuum of consciousness. A triptych of duets choreographed by Don Atwood and dancers was split into three distinct interludes that were revisited throughout the concert. In "Consciousness I: Finding Subconscious," a female soloist, Melissa Rumsey, dressed in a simple black dress with a light green sash around her waist sustained intricately placed movement.
