Abstract

Libido is the desire for sexual activity. In stallions libido may vary quite a bit and may be based on the training level and past experiences for that stallion. The history of the stallion may help determine in advance factors that that may influence or adversely affect his libido or behavior in the breeding shed. This chapter discusses the evaluation of sexual behavior, and particularly focuses on stimuli and behavior training. The person handling the stallion should know when and when not to correct a stallion's behavior.
