The energy efficiency and voltage amplification in an inductive energy storage system was evaluated by numerical simulation with Mathcad. The voltage amplification and energy efficiency of the inductive storage system increased with the reduction in fuse-interruption time. When the storage energy inductance was reduced, voltage amplification underwent small changes but the changes in energy efficiency was greater. In diode and resistive load cases, energy efficiency increased due to the current increases relative to the decrease in inductance. In the capacitive load case, the load charging voltage and the energy efficiency decreased due to the smaller fuse resistance relative to the smaller storage energy inductance.
