Abstract
A coherent-potential-approximation (CPA) calculation, based upon a generalization of the Chen-Sher formalism to the quaternary alloy case, is presented for the electronic properties of the quaternary semiconductor alloy GaSb1-x-yAsxPy. The results obtained indicate that alloy disorder effects, as measured by the CPA self-energy, are large for this alloy.
