Abstract
The article reviews the advantages of the new HI technology needleloom and its suitability for the production of textiles with advanced applications. The changes in needle zone contours and profiles will improve the structural features of nonwoven webs. Together with a reduction in the amount of needling necessary, this is expected to increase the use of natural fibres in nonwoven textile products.
