Abstract

The Mathematical and Computer Sciences Department (MCS) at the Colorado School of Mines is at the end of its second year of assessment reform. During the first year, a set of departmental goals and objectives were developed. The next step was the creation and implementation of an evaluation plan. The purpose of this paper is to present the resultant goals and a portion of the departmental evaluation that assesses the attainment of these goals.
