Abstract

This paper presents a Decision Support System (DSS) which is able to support semi-structured decision activities in a class of curriculum environments. The DSS consists of three subsystems: the data base subsystem, the model base subsystem, and the user interface subsystem. The data base and the model base are managed by software systems that work closely together to facilitate the necessary flow of data. Both are directed by a query language and menu selection through a terminal thereby providing a mechanism by which users can gain access to both data and models, and manipulate them to support decision activities in curriculum environments.
