Abstract
The application of machine-vision system in accurate and reliable shrinkage or growth measurement was discussed. This is a low cost system and uses a customized image-processing algorithm to capture digital images of fabrics to measure the shrinkage accurately. The system consist of a PC and a desktop color scanner or a color digital camera.
