Abstract
Green Manufacturing is a key technology to realize eco-industry and sustainable development. Green Manufacturing requires that the impact to the environment of the product during its life cycle must be systematically considered when it is designed and manufactured. Therefore, it can be realized to minimize the negative impact to the environment and to maximize the efficiency of resources. This paper updates information about Green Manufacturing and provides some general information, guidelines and references for research and implementation. In the mean time, more clear definit ions of related terms used in the Green Manufacturing area are provided. Finally a brief future research trends and perspectives analysis is also provided.
