title = "Configuration mixing in the Li6 wave function",
abstract = "It is shown that configuration mixing in the shell model due to residual two-body interactions is important and, in particular, leads to contributions from core excitations. It is possible to fit the elastic electron scattering data for not too large momentum transfers with a single oscillator parameter and reasonable values for the strength of the residual interaction.",

We are grateful to the National Institute for Research in Nuclear Science for financial support. One of us (M.A.K.L.) wishes to thank Battersea College for the award of a Tate and Hall Scholarship.",
