Abstract
When we think of marketing our Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) program, we normally do not think of building a brand in the mind of a student. However, this is one of the most prominent marketing techniques in today’s business and job market. Personalizing the FCS program brand is a strategy that enhances the “one thing” that makes an FCS program better or different or more relevant than the other programs it is competing with on a secondary school campus. Why is this such an important marketing strategy today? The one-size-fits-all product marketing approach is no longer enough—students expect personalized marketing tailored to their interests and needs.
