Calculation of g Force for Centrifuging Semen

Abstract

A centrifuge that can be accurately programmed to centrifuge stallion's equine semen at a specific g force should be used. This chapter discusses step by step procedure for calculating g force of the centrifuge for centrifuging semen. It provides a formula to set the centrifuge for revolutions per minute (rpm) speed for the desired g force. The chapter also lists equipments and supplies needed to calculate the g force of the centrifuge.
